Your Apple Watch Ultra dives, logged by themselves
Dive with your Watch. By the time you are back on the boat, the dive is in your logbook, ready to check.
How it will work
Apple Watch Ultra records depth and water temperature during a dive, with Apple's Depth app or another dive app, and saves them to Apple Health on your iPhone. With your permission, Diveology for iPhone reads those dives, in the background, and turns each into a draft in your logbook:
- the profile, maximum and average depth, dive time and water temperature from the Watch
- the dive site from where you were, matched to your own sites
- your usual tanks, gas, weight, suit and kit for that kind of dive
- your usual buddy at that site
- photos you took during the dive, placed on the profile at the moment you took them
You get a notification, check the draft, change anything that needs it, and confirm with one tap.
Private by design
Diveology reads only the dive from Apple Health, never anything else, and never shares it. Your location is used once per dive, to find the site. Photos stay in your photo library.
Dive computers too
The same will work for Bluetooth dive computers, downloaded straight into the app. Until then, dives from any computer come across through MacDive, Subsurface or UDDF: see the import guides.
Diveology for iPhone is in development. This page describes what it is being built to do.
Diveology for iPhone is on its way
Your online logbook and this website come with the app. Until it is in the App Store, by invitation.
