Everything your dive log should do
From the dive you did this morning to the hundreds before it: logged quickly, shown clearly, and kept safe.
A logbook that is quick on the boat
Site, depth and time is all a dive needs. Add the rest when you are dry: temperatures, visibility, current and surface, tanks and gas, weight and suit, buddies, guide, dive centre and boat, a rating, tags and notes. A new dive starts from your last one's setup, because most divers dive the same kit.
- Search by site, country, buddy or tag, and filter by year
- Dives grouped by month, newest first, with depth, time and water temperature at a glance
- Renumber every dive by date in one step
Dive profiles you can actually read
The profile from your dive computer, drawn clearly: depth over time with temperature and tank pressure on the same chart, gas switches and safety stops marked, and ascents faster than 10 metres a minute shown in red. Move your finger or pointer along it to read the depth, temperature, pressure and no-deco time at any moment.
Your breathing rate, on every dive
Diveology works out your surface air consumption for every dive with tank size and pressures: as a respiratory minute volume (litres a minute) and as a SAC rate (bar or psi a minute). It shows your average, your last ten dives against it, and the trend over time, so you can see the difference calm breathing, better trim or a new BCD makes. How SAC rate works, with a calculator.
Every dive site on a map, with satellite
Your sites with GPS, country, water, type and entry, each with its dives, deepest point and last visit. The map uses Apple Maps with standard, satellite and hybrid views, so you can see the reef you dived. Sites close together gather into one marker until you zoom in.
Kit with service reminders
Regulators, computers, transmitters, BCDs, suits and the rest, with brand, model, serial number and purchase date. Set a service interval in months or dives and Diveology tells you when something is due. Tick the kit you used on each dive, or mark items as default so they are added by themselves.
Certifications
Every card from PADI, SSI, NAUI, SDI, TDI, RAID, BSAC, CMAS, GUE and others, with its number, date and instructor.
Statistics and highlights
Your overview shows the headline numbers, your last dive, the last twelve months and highlights worth knowing: the next milestone, how your breathing compares with your average, this year against last, your most dived site and buddy, and kit that is due. The statistics page adds dives by year, a depth spread, records, top sites, countries and buddies.
Import from MacDive, Subsurface and UDDF
Bring your history across with its profiles, tanks, gases, sites with GPS, buddies and kit. The file is read on your device first, so you see what was found and what is already in your logbook before anything is uploaded. Import guides.
Metric, imperial, or both
Depth, temperature, pressure, volume and weight each in the unit you choose.
On iPhone, offline
Diveology for iPhone is on its way: the whole logbook on your phone, working with no signal and syncing when it can, with dives from Apple Watch Ultra and dive computers arriving by themselves. More on Apple Watch Ultra.
