A regulator that is overdue a service is easy to miss when the paperwork is in a drawer. Diveology keeps your kit beside your dives, counts the dives each item has done, and shows you what is due before you pack for the next trip. It is free in Diveology for iPhone.

What you can keep for each item

  • What it is: regulator, BCD, dive computer, transmitter, wetsuit or drysuit, mask, fins, tank, torch, camera, SMB, knife, weights and anything else
  • Which one: name, brand, model and serial number, so a warranty claim or an insurance list is quick
  • Its history: purchase date, last service and notes, and how many dives it has done
  • Its schedule: a service interval in months, in dives, or both
  • Retired kit stays in your history without cluttering the list

Service intervals in months or dives

Set the interval the maker asks for. Diveology works out when the next service is due from the last one, by date, by the dives logged with the item since, or by whichever comes first when you set both. Items that are due are marked on your kit list and called out on your overview. When the kit comes back from the shop, Serviced today resets the count.

Kit on every dive, without the typing

Mark your usual kit as default and it is added to each new dive by itself. Change it on the dive when you hire a BCD or try a new computer. Because each dive knows its kit, each item knows how many dives it has done, which is what a dive-based service interval counts.

Questions

Does Diveology remind me when my regulator is due a service?

Yes. Give the regulator a service interval in months, dives or both, and the date of its last service. Diveology works out when the next one is due and marks it on your kit list and your overview once it is. Tap Serviced today when it comes back from the shop.

How often should scuba gear be serviced?

Follow the maker's schedule for each item, and your local rules for tank inspections and pressure tests. Many regulator and BCD makers ask for a service every year or two, or after a set number of dives. Put that interval on the item and Diveology keeps count.

Is the kit list free?

Yes. Kit, service dates and certifications are all in the free iPhone app. With Premium they also sync to your account and the website, and kit comes across when you import from MacDive.
